Great omelettes! Cheap, good environment, and nice vibes. The toast is perfectly buttered.

This place is a really unique place! I stopped in because diner food is always good and it was just that. The pot roast hot sandwich was very good. Typical diner great home made comfort food but....it has a bar downstairs that you can order drinks from. There were teenagers with milk shakes, families with beer and milkshakes. I was able to enjoy a cider ale with my pot roast. Oh...the pies are great too!

Tom’s diner is a great place to go for casual food, good service, and terrific pie. It has the old diner feel and the best Gyro omelette around. The burgers there are also really really good. Our family with two small kids always are welcome there. Prices are fairly reasonable, probably equivalent to chain family dining.

Tom's Diner is your basic diner with its 50s look and it's counter that faces the service station gives it a complete look of your typical Diner. The food is good And the service is adequate. They have a large selection of pies. The gyro dinner is a pretty good purchase with its side salad and french fries along with a gyro for under $10

Great place. Server is always nice and quick, the food is amazing, the coffee is great. Go there all the time. Recommend to anyone.

We used to LOVE going here, that said wasnt here in few years, wont go back. Food quality is NOT same as it used to be. No taste, no flavor. Took so long to get our order, there was only one other table, on a weekday. Food came out somewhat warm. Miss the way was before

We waited about 40 minutes for food and it was cold when it arrived to our table. I don't want to say it was due to my ethnicity but another person arrived and was provided a "steaming hot" pot of coffee as well as a plate of "hot food" as evidence by the smoke coming from his food. I didn't enjoy my food.

The menu has a decent variety, although we usually stick with our favorites. Breakfast is average, so not their strongest point. Burgers, chili, and salads are substantial and good.

Decent food, decent prices. Could definitely use a remodel.

I guess I have to give it just a one star for they have closed for good apparently I am the last to know.That's a shame because Tom's diner was like a almost famous landmark of Dormont.Even people that did not live here always heard of or visited Tom's diner before.Kind of Sad I hate to see old why his stork and/or long time good businesses close down.I work there all show way you way back when I was a teenager and the family is good people.Please don't open up another Barber shop or Hair Salon or tattoo shop, And/or another Asian diner there are enough Asian diners in Dormont for how small it is!

Typical dinner. Good place for a cup of joe. Omelette was ordinary but the county potatoes were unique - round slices with a good crispy crunch to them. Service was a little slow.

Classic Diner style restaurant. The food is good and the prices are pretty cheap. Check the specials above the front counter. Almost always something interesting to try.

Family style diner that has managed to stay in business for many years. Breakfast and lunch are recommended here but I prefer something a little more up-scale for dinner. No parking lot on the premises.

Yesterday was my first time eatin there and I only had a grilled chicken sub. One of the best subs I've ever eatin. Can't wait to eat there again.

The waiter was very nice. Every thing I wanted they were out of, home fries were not crispy but soggy. Eggs bacon and sausage on point.

Another diner well worth visiting. The food, and the service were good. The place is clean and well kept, and the staff friendly. The only negative is that they don't serve breakfast all day.

My wife and I are regulars. Great food friendly staff and very fairly priced. Standard Diner Fair done exceptionally well. Their wide variety of homemade desserts are actually homemade and are fantastic every time we get one.

I had the pot roast sandwich with fries. The pot roast had a nice flavor but was very salty. The Italian bread was a nice quality brand, maybe Mancinis. Fries were hot and crispy. My companion had the gyro and a salad, and both looked well-prepared. Overall, meal was decent, especially for the price. Less than $30, including tip, for 2.

Tom’s is not a place I usually go to. My friend took me there because she heard good things about it. I walk in and was fascinated by how aesthetic the place looked. Like so my vibe, and I thought I was gonna have a good time. We were seated and the first thing I notice was the dirtiness of the table. Something I also noticed right off the bat was how cold our waitress Washington. I ordered one simple basket of chicken wings. I waited for such a long time, and my friend got her food twenty minutes before me. Also, the other table that came in before us got their food before me. By the time I got my wings, my friend already finished her food. Even better, the chicken didn’t even taste that good.

The spicy feta sauce that comes on the OPA burger is amazing!!

I really like this place. Great breakfast, get the Hearty Man.

This is one of my favorite diners anywhere in the country. Iconic Americana with a Greek flare. The gyros and gyro meat are amazingly good, even compared to fully Greek restaurants. Good coffee, great service, great ambience. You can't go wrong with any of the breakfast choices - the pancakes are large, they are generous with homefries, and their omelettes are enormous. And their prices are pretty reasonable to boot.

The food and service were very good as always but the hours have been cut back. Now open 7-3 daily.

Service wasnt so great. Our server brought our meals out one at a time. By this I mean, she brought out our dishes in between her eating slices of pizza she had delivered to the restaurant. Food was nothing great. We ordered fries, definitely not fresh cut, french onion soup, that was loaded with crutons, a chicken sandwich, 90% breading, 10% chicken and a spinach pie, eh...

This is a great place. They have off-street parking, friendly staff and really tasty food. Sometimes the wait is a little longer than I'd prefer, but honestly they are worth it. The interior is charming, and for those people who like a beer with their food, Tom's also serves some select beers!

This is a typical American restaurant. I love to eat there. There gyro meat is super delicious.

First off, my only complaint about Tom's Diner is that their sign advertises they are open 24 hours a day, and this is only true a few days out of the week.That aside, this restaurant is fantastic! The food tastes wonderful and comes in very large portions, which more than justify the price tag. The wait staff are very friendly and attentive, I have not had one experience where I did not feel paid attention to.The location is nice for that street because there is parking very close by, it's a very short walk to the diner. They have outdoor seating if you are feeling up for it, and a simple but Pleasant aesthetic inside

Very tasty food, friendly waitress, nice lighting for dinner, and comfortable seating. The entrance is pretty dirty though, with black marks smudging up the doors. Pretty nice place, all things considered.

Great food, great wait staff. Really want to give them a better review, but that men's room smells too nasty to even enter. Don't know what the problem is, but that bathroom was No Good

RIP to Tom's Diner. This place was a staple of my youth and the heartbeat of Dormont. I will remember you fondly.

We've been going to eat here for decades. Great place for a fast bite. Great gyros.

This is my 1st time ever here and I got the steak sandwich. I wasn't sliced either. A whole solid 8 oz chunk cooked how I wanted with green pepper, provolone cheese, sauteed onions, on toasted hoagie bread. PERFECT. The side of fries were done perfect. Washed it down with a few cold Iron City beer. Everything is home cooked and fresh. Old style diner vibe. Server was awesome. Friendly and quick. Priced moderately. Def worth going back.

This is an amazing little Diner in the heart of Dormont. Home cooked Greek and American cuisine. I have been going there since I was a little kid. The food is always good and always the same. That's a big thing for me. What I ordered 10 years ago still is cooked the same and tastes the same. Pretty much the same staff too. Although we don't venture out that way much anymore, I stop whenever we are close. I 100% recommend stopping here.

This place isn't as bad as people think, it's an old diner and very popular, I had the steak and eggs and they were good better then some places I tried in the area. My server Krista is awesome and super nice. If you go ask for Krista shell take care of you.

Usually go there on a Sunday morning. Clean restaurant, with good hot food! One of two places on this side of town that serves real gyro meat! It is great with breakfast. If you go there more than three times, your servers almost always know what you want!! Never had a bad meal there in the 12 years I have eaten there!!
